:-:

I have two great passions; one is painting, and the other is teaching.  Teaching gives me a feeling of joy because it presents an opportunity to share the creative process with other artists.  Because of my training  with the Russian School of Art, I believe that the principles that I use in my painting can be taught to others.  My students find that learning and enjoying art can be entertaining and quite rewarding. I strive to make each one of my workshops a fun and fulfilling experience for each student. Art is for everyone, and I welcome all those who wish to learn, from beginners to advanced artists.

UPCOMING WORKSHOPS WITH DIANE MCCLARY

Hello friends --

I am up in Washington state over the summer months, painting and enjoying the cooler weather. New workshops will begin in November. Be sure to watch for the Fall workshops schedule!

By early September, I will have established the Fall / Winter 2010-11 schedule for workshops in the Coachella Valley and surrounding areas. Because of strong response, some of the workshops will be repeats of ones from the past season, but there will also be new ones added, as well as new locations. So you can be thinking ahead and polishing those brushes, sharpening the pencils, and making plans to travel south.

I will be offering still-life workshops that emphasize paintings with lots of color. These sessions are always popular, and last season all of them had waiting lists. I will also plan some short plein air workshops. It's always fun to get outdoors and paint our beautiful desert.

I enjoy teaching and welcome all levels of artists. Beginners are often great students because they are willing to experiment and try new things. I will look forward to meeting new students and welcoming back past students. See you soon,  and have a great summer.
