I enjoy traveling to other desert areas like Tucson and Sedona. This allows me to gain a fresh and different perspective on the unique beauty of the desert. Having an opportunity to observe elements that are typical to a certain location is both exciting and stimulating to me. I have truly never seen reds as saturated as they are in the soil of Sedona. Sedona is a very special place. I believe that there is a spiritual experience that an artist, or anyone, can sense in that location. And in Tucson, another place I love to paint, the saguaro cacti are positioned across the landscape like tall stately people.
