Here in the Coachella Valley, the small valleys that reach into the base of the mountains are called coves. La Quinta Cove is where I live.  Daily, I enjoy talking hikes on the desert trails that are just across the street from my home.  There are glorious scenes of sunrises, sunsets, and changing clouds in the sky.  The mountains are an ever changing palette of colors. Even the vegetation of trees, bushes, and cactus are interesting with the changing light.  Each day, I gain inspiration for a new painting.
