Joshua Tree National park is famous for the unique Joshua trees which are only located in this high desert area of Southern California.  Another popular element of the park is the very unusual rock formations, in fantastic shapes and sizes that are ideal for rock climbing.  I especially enjoy painting there because the shapes of the trees and rocks are so diverse and they present a constant challenge to paint.
