I enjoy traveling to Arizona and New Mexico to plein air paint the different desert scenes.  I find the variety in the vegetation, especially the saguaro cactus, to be very exciting. Also, the color of the land is so different at the various times of the day. I like the early morning time and also the late afternoon shadows the best.
